Dream Theater - Fan Recordings Of Once In A LIVEtime Show (1998/06/25)
This is a special post I've been planning for a long time. It got delayed because I did not receive the "Vive La France" bootleg from someone on schedule as predicted. Anyway, there's a very bad quality audience video of the show in Paris at Le Bataclan which is featured on the Once In A LIVEtime CD. Here are some thumbnails and a download link for the DVD:

The main problems with this video (on top of the picture and sound quality simply being bad) is that the speed keeps changing, and it's also missing chunks of footage. There are numerous audio recordings of this show someone could use to combine with the video and make it watchable, as my friend Robo4900 did for Under A Glass Moon, and I've done so far for Hey You and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. You have, of course, the Once In A LIVEtime CD itself, but I cannot legally share that. The things I can legally share are:
• The Once In A LIVEtime Outtakes released to the Dream Theater International Fan Clubs in 1998. Be aware that this also has some tracks mixed in from the other fan club gig in Rotterdam. Also be aware that the version I'm offering of this is a single continuous FLAC file, so you will have to use a program like Audacity to export individual songs. https://mega.nz/#F!QSAWTL6J!uXyPyb68oxCgW7zpIowAdg
• The Covers (.AIFF format). This is a compilation that has three soundboard recordings from the Paris show which sound a little different than the ones on the Once In A LIVEtime Outtakes CD. On this CD, you also get one of the blues jams from Indianapolis Rock Solid Radio in 1993 (oddly labeled as "Tin Trooper"), The Beatles Medley and Mission Impossible demo from the Charlie Dominici era (the latter is labeled as being from 1994 when it's almost certainly not) and some recordings from Bruce Dickinson's radio show and the Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club show in 1995. https://mega.nz/#F!RfYVBRKb!2uJbZKFZh0IFDLK60uyBIg
• Vive La France (3 CDs, .SHN format): https://mega.nz/#F!gWICGIjC!KaXtNZTYyRqJE-5zUQ4q-Q
• The Lost Paris Tapes. The "FLAC" version I have of this is almost certainly just MP3s which were converted to FLAC, so I'm offering an MP3 version to save space: https://mega.nz/#F!QCJwgRjT!kjRrP-345BZb3PdIy-XBww
Finally, there's a soundboard recording of Burning My Soul from this show on the Lifting Shadows companion CD (though you do get pro-shot footage of this performance anyway on 5 Years In A LIVEtime): http://eatmyassandblog.blogspot.com/2017/05/dream-theater-lifting-shadows-companion.html
As an interesting sidenote, the bootleg recordings of Take Away My Pain from this show prove that no saxophonist was present, and that Jay Beckenstein overdubbed the sax in studio for the Once In A LIVEtime CD.
