Dream Theater - Showdown At Birch Hill




I only have this one as MP3s, but it's an interesting, relatively noise-free version of the show, compared to the more common one. There's a bit of a strange, metallic overtone to MP's cymbals, probably an artifact of the denoiser used. For the uninitiated, Showdown was an early instrumental version of Raise The Knife. This show also has the "Mercy Fuck" performance of Change Of Seasons.

This was released on the Japanese Bondage Music label in 2002, and features three superb soundboard recordings which I consider to be essential for any DT bootleg collector. The first one is from IMP AKA Imperial Hall in Osaka 1992/11/19.
