A popular DVD from the Train Of Thought tour. Picture is a little "fuzzy" but also has a lot of zooms and close-ups on the band members. This show contains two infamous moments. First, the rather poor cover of A Passage To Bangkok (beginning a tradition of one-off Rush covers played in Toronto which continued with Jacob's Ladder in 2006 and The Camera Eye in 2009), and LaBrie hitting a shrill, bum note on the "but those days are gooooooone" part of A Change Of Seasons which used to be on YouTube under the name "James LaBrie's worst live moment" or something like that. I heard a rumor that LaBrie was informed at this show that his father had a heart attack, so that could account for his spotty performance.

This was released on the Japanese Bondage Music label in 2002, and features three superb soundboard recordings which I consider to be essential for any DT bootleg collector. The first one is from IMP AKA Imperial Hall in Osaka 1992/11/19. This one also goes under the names Images and Tour '92 (vol. 1 of the "Soundboard Masters" series) and Osaka Samurai, and there is an audience recording of this same show which gets erroneously billed under the name Moon Bubbles as the Shibuya Kokaido in Tokyo 1992/11/18. The second recording is from Festival Hall in Osaka 1993/08/28, which also goes under the names Music In Progress Tour '93 (vol. 2 of the "Soundboard Masters" series) and Mission: Impossible. Dream Theater - The Change Of A Change Of Seasons

This is one of the rarest DT bootlegs I have, as it was limited to just 50 physical copies. On it, you get: 1. The Chris Cintron audition of A Change Of Seasons. The back cover art says “A Change Of Seasons ’89” which is partially true. The instrumental parts were laid down in 1989, but Cintron would have performed vocals in 1990. 2. The 1993 Limelight performance of A Change Of Seasons. One of only two times ACOS got played live with “the two Kevins” Moore & LaBrie (other was Bonn, Germany 1993). 3. The “Mercy Fuck” performance of A Change Of Seasons from Old Bridge, NJ June 1995. This one sounds nice in contrast to the very noisy version of this show in circulation. 4. The sample from Dead Poet’s Society about Carpe Diem meaning “seize the day.” 5. “A Change Of Simpsons.” This is a Scenes era performance of this song which has a piece of The Simpson’s Theme included. Did they do this on Live Scenes From New York? I can't remember, and have not the energy...
